Use Psychology is committed to providing excellent service delivered in a way that is respectful, honest and with integrity. Your privacy is taken very seriously. Under the Data Protection Act 2018, you have a right to know how your personal data is collected, used and shared.
UsePsychology Privacy Promise
We promise to collect, store and if necessary, share your data securely. You can access the personal information held if you wish to do so. You can also ask for your data to be deleted.
Why do we need to collect personal data?
The personal information we need to collect is required for note keeping purposes to inform advice and consultation.
What sort of data do we collect?
The personal data we collect might include your name, date of birth, address, or other information that identifies you. If necessary, we also collect what is called ‘special category’ data – that is, sensitive information such as medical/health information.
Will the data be shared?
Information is not shared with anyone else, unless you give consent or there are safeguarding issues which require information to be shared for the safety and well being of the individual.

How do we collect personal data?
We only collect your personal data with your permission. This might be through a conversation in person, on the telephone or by email or text.
How do we keep your data safe?
All data except the information recorded on consent forms, reports and invoices are anonymised and will be stored securely. Information may be kept in paper or electronic formats in a secure filing cabinet or password protected electronic files. Information will be kept for 6 months following the end of the work undertaken by Use Psychology and then destroyed. No information will be held following this 6 month period. This includes telephone numbers or email addresses.
